Hi everybody,
I have put the Hub on hiatus for an indeterminate amount of time. I’m not going to get into all of the reasons, except to say that I have reached my limit, and I need a long and possibly permanent break.
When the Hub returns to operation, if indeed it does, it will likely have an administrator other than me. I won’t speak for HJ, except to pass on that she agrees with this decision. She may have some words or her own to add.
Best of luck with your blogs and lives and everything. I’ll be around. – Dave
It looks like the leaders of the cult have lost control of the victims who have been blogging against their own children all of these years. We can probably expect that Autism Hub bloggers will now learn how to chelate themselves as well as their kids so that they can enjoy normalcy. This uprising probably won’t affect the severely mentally deranged such as {ME} but I’ll be here ready to help any of the victims who are coming to their senses.

I have no idea what issues Dave is faced with, but at a guess it would be clashes between members of the Hub over the right way to handle matters. I know that the community on the right side of the fence is divided over ABA for instance. There is also a division over Ari Ne’eman’s position IIRC. When clashes like that happen people could well have asked Dave to kick blogs off the Hub and it’s just possible that it got too much for him. I don’t blame him if this is the case.
It’s human nature. Battles like this occur. You just wish they wouldn’t all hit at once (I know how that feels – it’s why my blogs were offline for a week).
I’d like to thank Best for a further act of hate speech against me. That gets recorded.

Drama on the internet sometimes becomes too much. That does not mean that ND will come to an end, it only means it will improve after people learn from their mistakes.

What I meant was actually the people who believe in neurodiversity. The whole political interpretation of neurodiversity is very problematic, and it needs to be settled.

We can’t let ND be a closed philosophy. We must be dynamic and open to change or else the system of ND decays and dies.
I have come up with a new system called dynamic honesty. One of it’s core tenets is that there are truths out there but our perceptions of these truths are relative. We have to keep getting closer and closer to the truth.

I think the problem is we in ND became to closed. Guess what, JBJR is the same way. Do we want to become like him.
We have to keep questioning our own biases, assuptions, predjudices, and our own perceptions.
Most are not going to like what I have to say here but I think we need to allow some curebies into the autism hub. We need to know what their negatives are. We need to know what they believe and why they believe it.
Some of them may have valid points. If they do then we have to question certain tenets and if they’re wrong and missing data then we need to correct it.
We can use these curebies to perfect ND by taking their negativity and turning it into a correction. We could be wrong in some of the things we say.

Cube Demon, you’re making the same mistake Best and the other curebies are making. ND is not a political movement. It’s brain difference. It’s there, it’s always been there and it always will be there. For that reason alone it can never be closed.
It’s only those who don’t accept it as reality that are trying to close it. That’s impossible.
